TESTIMONIALS
”When Melba and I sat down at the kitchen table to discuss listing my home, I knew in a few minutes I had made the right choice of professional agents. Melba had completed all the pre work needed to list my house, and list it at the price appropriate to the market. She had a plan, and executed flawlessly to the plan. Within in a few days there were showings scheduled, and in a few weeks, we had a contract on the house. I would highly recommend Melba, and her team back at the office to anyone thinking about selling their home, or buying a home.” - Lane Douglas
"Being a young couple and also first time homeowners can be very intimidating with all of the options out there or lack of. Melba came highly recommended and we quickly found out why. She helped us find our dream home and made it easier than we thought possible. Melba held our hand every step of the way and explained all of the 'jargon' to us. What we appreciate most though was that she didn't say, 'Congratulations' when the deal was done and go on to the next house. Melba continues to provide answers and support whenever needed. We truly enjoyed working with her and would recommend her expertise and experience to anyone!" - Chris and Brittany Reid
We are very satisfied customers in the recent sale of our home in Thompsons Station. Thanks to the knowledgeable advice and expertise of Melba Beasley, our agent with ERA, we were able to successfully market and sell our home. We have had the pleasure of working with Melba on two occasions--in the purchasing of our home several years ago and now with a successful sale. I would recommend her to anyone seeking to buy or sell a home in the Middle Tennessee area. -Gary and Paula Johnston

Selling Your Home >A Disappointed Seller
Many home sellers are disappointed by the first offer they receive. For example, when your agent calls to say that she has an offer on your home, your adrenaline might start flowing profusely. You get really excited, but your happy bubble bursts when you are presented with the contract. It's just not enough! The buyers asked for your new washing machine, and they also want to postpone the closing for three months. You don't see how it can work!
Before rejecting any offer on your property, you should consider making a counter offer. Rarely does an offer look the way it would if you had written it yourself. Consider the good and bad points of the offer, and work with the agents to find a middle ground that you and buyers can live with. You may have to go back and forth several times, and there will probably be compromises on both sides. Unless you are lucky enough to be selling in a strong sellers' market, the buyers will expect to do some bargaining. With a little patience, you and your agent can create a "win-win" situation for you and the buyers.
